Help The Destitute hilft mittellosen Menschen ihre wichtigsten Bedürfnisse wahrzunehmen. Hierbei handelt Help The Destitute nach dem Kodex, dass 100% der Spende zu 100% am Spendenziel ankommen; sprich: keine Verwaltungskosten, keine Transaktionsgebühren. Help The Destitute bewerkstelligt dies, indem die Spende lediglich die Ressourcenkosten trägt; und das auch nur, wenn die Ressourcen selbst nicht gespendet werden konnten; an der Wertschöpfungskette der ankommenden Spende sind sodann nur und nur ehrenamtliche Kräfte und Leistungen beteiligt, die Zeit und Energie nicht gegen Gebür, sondern um des Spendenziels Willen einsetzen.

Die Einsätze reichen von der Verwendung einer allgemeinen Spende zur Versorgung wichtigster Nöte, bis hin zu Einsätzen zur Verwendung zweckgebundener Spenden, bei denen im Vorhinein festgelegt wird, ob diese für Lebensmittellsorge, Hygienesorge, Obdach oder Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe eingesetzt  werden soll.

Help The Destitute helps destitute people meet their most essential needs. In doing so, Help The Destitute acts according to the principle that 100% of the donation arrives 100% at the donation’s destination; meaning: no administrative costs, no transaction fees.

Help The Destitute accomplishes this by ensuring that the donation only bears the cost of resources; and even this only if the resources themselves could not be donated. Along the value chain of the arriving donation, only volunteers and voluntary services are involved, who contribute their time and energy not for a fee, but for the sake of the charitable purpose.

The activities range from the use of a general donation to provide for the most urgent needs, to the use of designated donations, where it is determined in advance whether they should be used for food support, hygiene support, shelter, or help for self-help.
